Earth warriors and dog lovers, Simon, Simon and Susie live, breathe and drink coffee. But only specialty coffee beans sourced ethically, sustainably produced and roasted with their state of the art environmentally friendly technology. No pecking order, simply three highly skilled professionals.
The team extends far beyond Martin Street Coffee’s home, with team members in the UK, Vietnam and Metro Melbourne.
Their business model means they can source, receive, roast, control quality, pack, dispatch and operate from their regional based The result? Sustainable, rich small-batch, high-quality coffee that’s affordable and addictive.
The friendly trio are local to Blackwood and fill their community with rich, aromatic fresh coffee smells every time they’re roasting, drawing coffee bar walk-ins.
Simon Daniel
Simon is Australian, with Bulgarian heritage. When he was 5 he was obsessed with the Ranciiio Z9 espresso machine and later owned a coffee shop before becoming a professional roaster. Having done a million things in between, Simon boasts skills ranging from construction industry management, is a grant grant writing specialist and successful green thumb. When Simon’s not roasting or drinking coffee, you can find him in the garden, cuddling his dog, or re-building coffee machines. When out with friends, the first drink he’ll order is a single malt whiskey. #brandboss
Simon Gracie
Simon is the affable Brit, who emigrated in 2007 and loves a natter, especially after five cups of coffee or wine. With a background in chemistry, engineering and science, Simon is perfectly placed to design workflow processes, consider logistics and is the data expert. Quality coffee that is always consistent is all about understanding and interpreting the data and delivering the adjustments required. #yawn
Susie Deeble
Susie is an honourary Brit, born in England and raised in New Zealand. Friendly, brutally honest and grounded, Susie loves her garden, her dogs and making baskets from local fibres. An avid traveller and coffee passionista, Susie looks forward to the banter with our customers and takes great delight in batch roasting. A compassionate soul, though never afraid to speak her mind, Susie keeps us on our toes and focussed on the job. #scarynotscary
