Martin Street Coffee was established by two guys named Simon, (Simon D and Simon G) in 2016. Whilst the establishment happened by chance; it’s the result of a decades old, industry wide problem. Low margins, hard work and small profits. There had to be a way for coffee to cover the cost of the brew, barista and be profitable.

Simon and Simon were in a city of 8 million people enjoying a morning coffee when they spotted a machine in the cafe they were visiting. It turned out it was a small venue-operated bean-roaster. Light bulb moment. Simon D’s creative mind imagined a machine, a system, a business model that could solve his problem.

LIVE ROAST IS BORN
A Swedish engineer designed and built the original prototype. Simon G backed Simon D by maintained a full-time job in Melbourne whilst working evenings and weekends in the cafe. Simon and Simon set up a company from scratch. The machines were further designed, manufactured, the software was developed, expanded and fine tuned in our manufacturing / coffee lab, based in Taipei. Machines are now operating across Asia, the United States of America, Australia and New Zealand.
Today, Martin Street Coffee offers certified, exclusive roasting technology and quality beans, blended flawlessly. We supply roasted beans to venues and offer a LIVE ROAST solution, where venues can roast in-house with our machines.
